To the right, To the left
We will fight to the death!
To the edge of the earth
It's a brave new world
From the last to the first
To the right, To the left
We will fight to the death!
To the edge of the earth
It's a brave new world
It's a brave new world
It's a brave new world!
It was a letter of sorts. From who, well, who could say? Everyone had their suspicious, but no one had proof, and no one knew where to start to get some.
But that wasn't the point.
The letter itself was simple. It was delivered by hand in a simple white envelope. No one had managed to catch sight of who had delivered it, strangely enough, but all that was known was that it wasn't by any sort of mail courier, for it had no postage or address, just a simple name. Not to mention that it was delivered directly to them. Even to those who didn't stay at their main house, or were currently living in a military base, the letter was given. Everyone was a bit surprised. It was so mysterious, so strange. Some where hesitant to open the letter, and many had it checked for any sort of tracking device or something that was off.
But there was nothing strange, nothing different. Just an envelope with a piece of paper in it. Those who opened found themselves reading from a sheet of fine, high-grade stationary, a pale blue in colour with navy blue designs around the outer edges. They began reading, and were surprised at what it was entailing.
A meeting.
It was invitation to a World Meeting.
The ones everyone attended before all of this started.
When things were at relative peace, where you could feel safe and trusting of those around you. Where war didn't engulf everyone, and made people paranoid and scared.
Was the building still even there, or had it been destroyed in the chaos? Apparently not, since the same address was enlisted as the meeting place.
This meeting could either make or break everything. Perhaps it would be a start to a general peace. A cease fire. A moment in the war where everyone could forget everything and just amend things. Either that, or it could make things worse. Be the final straw before total annihilation. Before the nuclear bombs started dropping. Before everyone died.
The date was only in a few days. There was time to think, to plan. Maybe it was all a trap. A way to get them there to be killed, or to be attacked by a group. Maybe it was an honest sign of peace. It was all up in the air, the decision belonging to each their own.
Today marked Day 5 of Post-Apocalyptic Earth

Nirav took a deep breath as looked around at all the people around him. Some were rebuilding their homes and shops, some sitting on the gravel and remains, trying to calm children or tend to the elderly.
He looked down at paper with the invitation on it. Never once had he been to a world meeting. He was a counterpart, they didn't invite counterparts.
"they only want the original..." he thought.
"...And here i am with an invitation...hilarious..."World meetings were stupid. They were pointless. They only purpose they served was to get together with a bunch of dumb-ass nations you hate. To make fun of eachother and go home with absolutley no solutions to the world's problems.
"A waste of precious time..." he crumpled up the invitation, but didn't throw it away...
"...Still...everyone goes to those meetings...you always feel like you're included... I could see my family and friends...i havn't seen them since all this shit happned...No.. It's pointless, fuck them all...they never once tried to contact me during the war to see if i was OK...they're all probably going to give eacother moral support, or some shit...I dont need any of that...I can handle myself..." he chuckled to himself.
